@Evan Feng - Mentorship platform that connects individuals from underrepresented backgrounds such as first generation, ethnic minorities, disabilities to those on the industry with similar backgrounds. Created opportunity for career development and guidance.
(@Saurav Comment - We can make the platform more active by Mentees giving points to the Mentor and then the Mentor can use those points and convert them into gift cards that the mentor can use for their personal use.)

@Kha-Nhi Nguyen - An app that can scan photos that users submit of items that they are unsure if they can recycle or not. Will automatically list recycling centers near the users as additional resources. (@Saurav Comment - In CU Denver there are 3 trash cans for recycling, Composting, and Reuse. I’m always confused a bit about which Item will go into which can, If we make an application that will look at the item and then tell us in which trash can it should go.)
@Estella Duong - a forum app similar to reddit where people can join volunteer groups in their area (like trash cleanup groups) and discuss ideas on volunteering/protesting/ways to vote to support climate activism
@Shane Cao - An app involving a progress-based game that is directly correlated to an action related to climate change improvement. For example, if the user recycles a certain number of items, a tree will get watered. If they don’t recycle for a certain amount of time the tree will begin to die. There will be various customization options to keep the user interested.
(@Saurav Comment - I have a different take on the idea that we can make the governments of the world into players and they will put all their data like what they have done for climate change in terms of policies and initiatives. The platform will give them points and increase their progress. This data can be used by the IMF to give loans at a lower interest rate to countries that have good progress. We can also give those countries more power whenever voting for policies and initiatives at UN)
@Estella Duong - An energy tracker that keeps track of your home’s energy usage so users can see if they are using excessive amounts of electricity, water, etc, and learn how to cut back on it </aside>

@Shane Cao - A Career Development Planner that assists users in setting their career goals, development plans, and progress. The app will provide resources, tips, and potential opportunities that are tailored to the users’ goals and interests. This can also be an opportunity for employers to find potential employees based on their resume, education, and other information.
(@Saurav Comment - Many organizations have Career Development Planners in their in-house platforms, but they are hardly used by employees and employers for their benefits. Because Career planners are not relevant in the process of Appraisals, Promotions, and Switching job roles within the org. If you have some out-of-the-box execution then it will be awesome.)
Multicultural Cooking App formulated similar to tinder where the user can swipe left and right on recipes that will then get saved to their library of future recipes. Under each recipe there will be the recipe, cultural tidbits of the origin of the food. There will also be videos if there exists some on YouTube on how to make it. (@Saurav Comment - We can make it a hands-free application that you can use for cooking whenever a step is completed we will give a command saying it is completed and then it will tell us the subsequent steps. Give it a recipe in the form of a PDF/YouTube video and it will convert it into atomic cooking instructions that a user can use.)
Vintage Clothes Tag Dating with the increasing focus in fashion shifting towards buying secondhand and vintage clothing this app will accurately date the age of clothing item based on the tag. This is because the tag is usually an indicator of the age of a clothing item because the logo changes. This will utilize machine learning and be trained on a database of clothing tags from several companies and may also provide the info on the brand at that era. (@Saurav Comment - My perspective is we can make it like if we buy a first-hand t-shirt and use it for 2-3 months then the customer should be able to return that t-shirt and avail a refund based on the number of days it was used and the quality of the t-shirt. Then any other customer who is okay with the same t-shirt will buy it for a reduced price and we can repeat the same process until the t-shirt is unusable. The only problem I find to be tricky is how to analyze the quality of the clothes that are being returned.)
@Saurav Built a social media platform for all CU students to connect. Build features like a Marketplace, Ride Sharing, Exchange Books, Look for upcoming events, etc.
@Shane Cao Comment - This could also be used to advertise clubs, organizations, and other social networks
@Shane Cao Comment - Can also be used to pair volunteering activities that the universities hosts or are in the area
@Shane Cao Comment - Advertise all events in one certain section of the app. Users can “follow” certain clubs. Tailored to suggest events based from personal preference and past club events users have gone to
@Shane Cao Comment - Certain thresholds for events/clubs (swipes 2x on a certain club or event = algorithm
